Top 5 Things to do with Kids near Lincoln City

Finding activities that appeal to all the kids at once can be a challenge. We get it. But there are some real treasures in and around Lincoln City.

Here are our favorites:

1

Tidepools just off Olivia Beach. This will be the highlight of your trip. Check the tide tables and plan your day around it. It is THAT good.

2

Roads End State Recreation Area. Arguably the best beach for kids in town.

3

Devil's Lake State Park. There is boating for older kids and an expansive playground for kids of all ages.

4

Prehistoric. This is much more than a typical retail store. it is a touch-and-learn environment with a huge collection of fossils on display. The animatronic dinosaur will keep the little ones entranced! And adults will enjoy cracking open a geode or two. (this is also a good indoor option)

5

Hike Drift Creek Falls Trail. About 9 miles from town, this hike is not very challenging and will entertain you with waterfalls, a covered bridge, and a long suspension bridge. It packs a lot of sight seeing into one hike. Quintessential Oregon.

6

The Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. We threw in an extra one because it is worth noting, but is about a 30 minute drive (a beautiful coastal drive) to get there. A few noteworthy residents: a hilarious Walrus and some amazing jellyfish. You won't soon forget this visit. (another good indoor option)

Additional resources: Each site maintains a calendar of events so you can see what is happening while you are in town.

Visit the Oregon Coast is a wonderful resource for Lincoln City and beyond.

The Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau has a great site with tons of information. They have recently launched a campaign titled' Seven Miles of Smiles' highlighting all there is to do. video below.
